Admissions & Records                                                                                                                            Services include: applying to Butte College, requesting official transcripts, registration, paying fees, official change of information, and more. Bookstore                                                                                                                                                        The Bookstore now uses an online service. Click on the link above to order texbooks.

Calculators                                                                                                                                                   Texas Instrument TI-30Xa Solar, TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus available for check-out. Limited supply. The Math Department at the Main Campus also loans calculators per semester. Please contact Elise Theriault at theriaultel@volamdolong.com

Career and Academic Assessment Center                                                                                               All new and returning students must complete the online Career and Academic Profile using the (CAP) tool prior to registration. K-12 students are exempt.

Career Counseling                                                                                                                                    Career & Employment Services can help you choose a major or career path, find a job, practice interviews, and help with your resume. These services are free and available to the public. Live Chat with a counselor from home. To schedule a Live Chat appointment, call 893-7550.

Visit the Writing Center for help with papers in ALL subjects, even help with resumes. Take advantage of these services to help you prepare for finals and succeed in school. Bilingual tutors can help!      

Online tutoring through Net Tutor is open 24/7 and is free to Butte College students. Click here for more information. 

C.A.S. Workshops
Free drop-in workshops cover a wide variety of topics that support student success.  Attend eight workshops and earn 1/2 of a unit! Click here for a description of the workshops. 

Chico State Admissions Counselor                                                                                                            An admissions counselor from CSU Chico visits the Glenn Center each semester to help answer questions about transferring and help you apply.  Virtual appointments are available at this time. Counseling and Advising                                                                                                                 Remote appointments are now available! Schedule your own appointment online to meet with an Academic Counselor either virtually, by phone. In person appointments are available on Tuesdays from 9 AM to 5 PM. DSPS                                                                                                                                                          Disabled Students Programs & Services can help students with disabilities with accommodations for successful learning. Disabilities Specialist, Cedric King serves the Glenn County DSPS students. Please contact (530) 895-2455 or (530) 895-2599 for TTY to schedule an appointment. Cedric is here from 1:00 to 4:00 PM every Wednesday. 

EOPS Counseling                                                                                                                                        Extended Opportunity Programs and Services provide academic and financial assistance to economically and educationally disadvantaged students who qualify. Llael Valle is the EOPS Counselor for Glenn County and is here on the second Thursday of each month. Please visit the EOPS page in the link above for hours and contact information or call 895-2555 to schedule appointments. 

Financial Aid Advising                                                                                                                               

Financial Aid at the Glenn Center. Starting October 2023, the Butte College-Glenn Center will have a Financial Aid representative one day a week. Alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please contact the Glenn Center for hours. 530-895-2429

Food Pantry                                                                                                                                                    The Glenn Center helps students experiencing hunger and food scarcity by providing a food pantry of non-perishable groceries on site. Roadrunner Hub Basic Needs Resource Center is here to help!  Food bags and/or gift cards are provided to currenlty enrolled students. Inspiring Scholars/Foster Youth                                                                                                                 If you are currently or were formerly in foster care, there is a program to help you get into college, stay in college and reach your academic goals.  Inpiring scholars staff will meet with students individually by appointment via Zoom or in-person. Library                                                                                                                                                              The Virtual library online never closes. 24 hour access. Live-chat with a librarian, access lib-guides and research databases for free. New - Free one-year subscription to the New York Times. We are sorry but laptops will not be available for check-out this summer. Wi-Fi Hot Spots may be checked-out from the Chico Center or Main Campus, limited supply. 

Mental Health/Personal Counseling                                                                                                      Mental Health Specialist, Karen Johnson, LCSW, serves Glenn County, free of charge to students currently enrolled in Butte College classes. Please call the Student Health Center at                 (530) 895-2441 to schedule an appointment. 

       Orientation                                                                                                                                                               Sign-up for online Orientation. The Butte College Reg2Go Program works with local high schools          to inspire, support and provide the necessary tools to successfully transition students from                  high school to college. High School seniors that participate in the Reg2Go program will                          participate in orientation, counseling, and registration at Butte College prior to the end of their            senior year. Queer Resource Center                                                                                                                                The QRC is located on the Main Campus in SSG 101 but extends services to Glenn County students, in support of the Gender and Sexuality Equity Team. They offer resource materials and educational workshops to support LGBTQIA2s+ students and staff and help allies become better advocates for the community. Safe Place and Wellness Program
The Safe Place provides one-on-one crisis support to students experiencing emotional distress and to victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking through crisis intervention, advocacy, and educational programming. Student Health                                                                                                                                           Health services are included with the Student Health fee that every student pays upon enrollment.  A variety of services are available at the Main Campus. There is no charge to see the nurse practitioner, physician or mental health specialist. Some tests, medications and procedures require a minimal fee. Student Success Services                                                                                                                              Are you feeling overwhelmed? Are you on Financial Aid or Academic probation? Struggling with a low G.P.A.? Feeling like dropping out? We can help! Student Success specialists offer assistance and guidance with SAP appeals paperwork, school schedules, educational plans, financial aid, housing referrals, and more. We also provide support for homeless youth and the unhoused or those experiencing housing scarcity.  Students may be eligible for gas cards, meal cards, lockers, hygiene kits, school supplies, and textbooks. TRIO Student Support Services                                                                                                                   The TRIO Student Support Services programs are committed to providing a variety of student-centered educational support services for students. TRIO SSS proudly serves students who are first generation, low-income and/or students with disabilities. The purpose of the programs is to increase college retention, graduation and transfer rates for each participant. Some of our services include but are not limited to: campus visits; FAFSA assistance; financial literacy; academic advising; assistance with academic accommodations (DSPS students); advising on entering high-demand careers; student skills workshops and more. Undocumented Student Support Center                                                                                              The UndocuStudent Support Center serves undocumented students and students who come from a mixed-status family household by connecting them to institutional support or community services. Services Provided include assistance with: California Nonresident Tuition Exemption (AB540), California Dream Act Application, DACA Updates and Scholarship Information.            Call (530) 895-2817.
